Over the weekend, a few New York Yankees nuggets dropped that suggested the offseason was "finally starting" and that Brian Cashman had finally awoken from his slumber after operating in the shadows for months.
Naturally, that would spur some excitement. The Yankees about to make a flurry of moves?! That involve big names?! After watching them do absolutely nothing of substance to upgrade over their 2025 roster?! Inject it into my veins!
Except ... those closely watching for the last two months weren't exactly sold on anything. Why? Because the Yankees all of a sudden entering the Bo Bichette market made little sense.
