Fresh off a three-game sweep in San Francisco, the Yankees headed to Arizona for a quick two-game series. Although it was a big night for CC Sabathia personally, the Bombers dropped the game and snapped their winning streak.
Winner of the Game
It has to be Sabathia. The big southpaw picked up his 3,000th strikeout, becoming just the 17th player in MLB history to do so. Sabathia backed that up with a pretty good outing, too. He held the Diamondbacks to two earned runs off of five hits through 5.
