Yankees’ Giancarlo Stanton getting ready to play the outfield again

At one point, the New York Yankees needed healthy bodies that could play the outfield given that Aaron Hicks was already injured, Clint Frazier was banged up, and Brett Gardner wasn’t hitting. Even though he is primarily a designated hitter at this point, Giancarlo Stanton has the ability to play the outfield and could potentially be an option for manager Aaron Boone.

The Yankees have been wary about him playing the field. Perhaps they are being overprotective of their slugger given his ample history of leg injuries, or perhaps they are right. Either way, Stanton could potentially play the outfield soon.
