TAMPA — Anthony Seigler is doing his best to shrug off his status as a first-round pick — not that Yankees fans will let him forget about it anytime soon.
As the 19-year-old catcher signed autographs Monday before leaving the Yankees’ minor league complex, he was almost always asked to include “first-round pick” below his name, the tag that may follow him as he navigates his way through the system.
“I really don’t worry about it,” Seigler said. “I’m not really thinking about that.
