Winning cures everything. As the New York Yankees found out Tuesday night when Ben Rice broke a ninth-inning tie with a massive home run and Devin Williams locked down the save against a Blue Jays team that is swiftly becoming their nemesis, the horrific lows of the sixth and seventh inning were immediately bleached from memory.
But that didn't make all the pain go away ... or did it?
This game was tied in the top of the sixth after some Anthony Volpe defensive chicanery, and though Aaron Judge tried to valiantly gun down the tying run at the plate, he came up slightly short.
