The trade deadline will hopefully have this New York Yankees team looking very different. Will they make impact acquisitions to make a World Series run? Maybe! But even if they don't, there's no feasible way this team can employ 20% of the players they currently do on the 40-man roster.
And that includes Oswald Peraza, who hasn't been a viable big league player for over a year now, but the Yankees have opted to let this reach the worst possible juncture. Peraza's routine error on Monday night against the Toronto Blue Jays should solidify his soon-to-be DFA.
