The Yankees are no longer in first-place.

The Yankees fell to second-place in the AL East on Monday after the Rays beat the Athletics, 6-2, to stand alone atop the division.

Charlie Morton remained unbeaten with Tampa Bay, pitching seven shutout innings en route to the win. The Yankees, now a half game back, saw their Subway Series opener against the Mets postponed due to rain. The intra-city rivals will make up the game a part of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Brandon Lowe homered for the third time in two days, snapping a scoreless tie in the sixth inning and helping the Rays take over sole possession of the first place in the AL East with their sixth victory in seven games.
