The Yankees unconditionally released RHP Nathan Eovaldi, RHP Nick Rumbelow, and LHP Joe Mantiply on Monday.

Eovaldi, 26, underwent season-ending surgery in August to repair a torn flexor tendon and partially-torn ulnar collateral ligament. He’s slated to miss all of 2017 and at least part of 2018, so the Yankees didn’t want to waste a roster spot on him.
