Luke Voit is slated to be the Yankees starting first baseman for the 2020 season with Mike Ford as the backup. Both Voit and Ford have excellent power at the plate but combined for ten errors at first base last season, seven of which were committed by Voit.
After adding a three-time Gold Glove winner last offseason in D.J. LeMahieu, the Yankees could turn their attention to another Gold Glove winner who just spent the last three seasons playing for their biggest rival.
