A meltdown in Queens already has the Mets trying to put 2025 in the rearview. Less than two weeks ago, they announced sweeping changes to their coaching staff, with former New York Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza remaining the manager. Other former Yankees coaches weren't so lucky, however.
The Mets are doing their best Yankees impression and gutting the staff around Mendoza. The Yankees have done this twice during the Aaron Boone era, and just about nothing has changed. Don't say we didn't warn you, Uncle Stevie!
As for whose futures are now in question for the Mets, among them were Eric Chavez and Desi Druschel, both of whom have been poached from the Yankees over the last few years.
