Yankees come up with embarrassing excuse as to why their pitching struggled against Toronto

The New York Yankees were thrashed by the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday evening, by a score of 12-7. While the offense showed up to play, they allowed 10 runs in the sixth inning to blow a 6-2 lead. Jordan Montgomery lasted 3.1 innings and gave up two earned runs, but Chad Green and Adam Ottavino had different plans in mind.

The Yankees are on one of the worst cold strikes in baseball, losing their last four games straight and six of their last seven games. They’re currently playing in Buffalo at Sahlen Field, due to Canada’s restrictions on COVID-19.
