Yankees bats come alive in rain-shortened win over Blue Jays

Modal Trigger

Neil Walker celebrates his three-run homer with Greg Bird and Gleyber Torres in the fourth inning of the Yankees' 7-5 comeback win Friday night.

After scoring six runs in their previous three games, seeing the Blue Jays plate four in the first inning Friday night against Lance Lynn couldn’t have been a comfortable feeling for the Yankees.

Yet the same lineup that went limp in the previous three games came alive and carried the Yankees to a 7-5 rain-shortened victory in front of 42,121 at Yankee Stadium.

In his third start and fourth outing as a Yankee, Lynn allowed five runs, six hits and three walks in five-plus innings and was bailed out by the Yankee bats and bullpen.
