Yankees’ Aroldis Chapman hopeful but wary about left knee

TAMPA — The Yankees spent freely this winter to bring in Adam Ottavino and bring back Zack Britton to reinforce their bullpen, but Aroldis Chapman’s left knee will play a major role in just how well their relief corps performs.

The left-hander spent time on the disabled list last August and his velocity dipped as a result.

Chapman turns 31 later this month and is confident his knee woes are behind him, but he acknowledged there’s no guarantee.

“I want to say no, but you never know,’’ Chapman said through an interpreter, when asked if the knee would be a concern this season.
