The shorthanded Yankees announced they have signed veteran infielder Brad Miller to a minor-league contract.
The 29-year-old Miller, who belted 30 home runs for Tampa Bay in 2016, was designated for assignment by Cleveland on April 15. He primarily has been a shortstop during seven major league seasons with four teams, but he also has played every infield and outfield position.
