Terrance Gore might not see the field for the Yankees during the regular season. But the Yankees now have a speed demon who can impact the postseason.
The Yankees acquired Gore from the Royals for cash, the team announced Wednesday. He will report to Triple-A Scranton and is not on the 40-man roster.
Gore is best known for being used as a pinch-runner during for the Royals during their 2014 and ’15 World Series runs. The outfielder stole a combined four bases in those two years, including one in the 2014 Wild Card game when the Royals went to town on Jon Lester’s inability to throw to first base.
