Why the Yankees are about to get scarier -- without a trade

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Yankees will be back to full strength soon.

Second baseman Gleyber Torres said he's over his right hip strain and that he should get off the 10-day disabled list next week.

The Yankees host the Mets over the weekend before heading to Tampa to face the Rays on Monday.

"I'm better," he said during the 2018 MLB All-Star media availability at Nationals Park on Monday. "I'm better right now. I feel super pretty good. I think I'll be back next week."

Torres exercised in the outfield Monday afternoon.
