Embattled WFAN host Craig Carton is a "victim who was deceived, manipulated and used by individuals seeking to gather assets for their own fraudulent schemes," his attorney said in a statement Friday.
Carton, 48, was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with helping run a multi-million dollar "Ponzi-like" fake ticket scheme in order to pay off Carton's alleged gambling debts. FBI agents nabbed him at his New York home before he could travel to work for that day's 'Boomer and Carton' program.

WFAN's Boomer Esiason thanked radio station rival Mike Francesa for his support in the wake of Craig Carton's arrest for allegedly running a multi-million ponzi scheme.
