NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — What could’ve been a terrible error turned into a joyous occasion at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night.
A fan nearly lost an engagement ring when he was about to propose to his girlfriend during fifth inning of the Red Sox-Yankees game.
Cameras caught Andrew, and nearly ad entire section, looking for the ring after he dropped it while he was being shown on the Jumbotron about to propose to his girlfriend Heather.
“Oh, look at this poor guy,” Yankees play-by-play announcer Michael Kay said.
What probably felt like an eternity, the ring was finally found and Andrew got down on one knee to ask Heather to marry him.
