Luis Severino was a late scratch from this afternoon’s scheduled start. It was to be his Grapefruit League debut. The YES Network cameras showed Severino warming up before the game, so this was a very late scratch. The Yankees have not yet released an update, so stay tuned.
More to come. Maybe the Yankees didn’t want to send him out there on a wet field after it rained all morning? Fingers crossed.
Update (1:11pm ET): Severino was scratched with right shoulder discomfort and will go for tests this afternoon, the Yankees say. Not great, Bob.
