Troy Tulowitzki’s start in Yankees opener carries ‘a lot of meaning’

Adam Ottavino saw Troy Tulowitzki up close when the shortstop was still one of the premier offensive players in the game, while they played together in Colorado from 2012-15. In both players’ first season with the Yankees, Ottavino is hoping to see a similar version of Tulowitzki in The Bronx.

“I don’t doubt him, because I know what he’s capable of,” Ottavino said. “He looked good in the spring, definitely healthy. A player like him is such a rare talent. He’s a fun guy to watch when he’s clicking right. I hope to watch that again.
