The Yankees’ top outfield prospect, Estevan Florial, requires wrist surgery due to a hamate injury. This will keep the 20-year-old sidelined until at least August.
Yankees stud prospect Estevan Florial will be out until August due to hamate surgery.
Florial left Thursday’s action in High-A with a sore wrist, which turned out to be something more severe. In 36 games with Tampa this season, he had a .246/.353./.343 line with a homer and 10 RBI.
“Hopefully it’s just a little bump in the road,” Aaron Boone told Newsday on Friday.
