Ivan Nova was the final item in the Yankees’ fire sale.
The right-handed starter was dealt to the Pirates minutes before Monday’s 4 p.m. trade deadline.
The 29-year-old Nova has fallen off drastically since undergoing Tommy John surgery near the start of the 2014 season. Nova’s ERA floated around 5 the past two seasons over 32 starts and six relief appearances.
It was unclear which players were headed back to the Yankees in the trade.
