DJ LeMahieu didn’t just lead off the bottom of the first with a homer, he also had a third consecutive multi-hit game and extended his streak of getting on base to eight straight plate appearances before a strikeout in the third ended it on Tuesday.
After LeMahieu’s offense propelled the Yankees to a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays in The Bronx, Aaron Judge said, “DJ has been the MVP for us.”
“He makes every play and he’s great with runners on base at getting guys in,’’ Judge said. “What he and Gio [Urshela] did when guys were out was huge.
