Starlin Castro’s family missed his historic performance

Starlin Castro's family is in town to watch the new Yankee second baseman play, but they skipped Wednesday's game, when Castro made pinstriped history.

"Too cold," Castro said, smiling, before the Yankees were slated to play the Astros in the series finale Thursday. "They came the day before (the opener), when it was colder."

Castro's mother, father and brother were watching on TV as their fave Yankee knocked in five runs in a win over Houston Wednesday night. That made him the first Yankee with seven RBI in his first two games with the team since RBI became an official stat in 1920.
