Sources: Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton to make debut vs. Angels

NEW YORK -- New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is expected to come off the injured list Monday to make his season debut against the Los Angeles Angels, sources confirmed to ESPN, giving the club a surplus of lineup options 70 games into the season.

Stanton was sidelined through Sunday with tendon injuries in both elbows. In 2024, he played despite joint pain through a postseason in which he clubbed seven home runs in 14 games, but then he was shut down from swinging a bat in January until late March.
