Rookie makes Yankees history on third Major League hit

NEW YORK -- The Yankees continued to rely on the long ball in Wednesday's series finale against the Braves.

In the fourth inning, Kyle Higashioka became the second Yankee in franchise history to have his first three Major League hits go for home runs, joining Alfonso Soriano, who did so in 1999-2000.

In the third, Giancarlo Stanton may have proved to be settling in at Yankee Stadium after being questioned about his lack of offensive production at home throughout the majority of the first half of the season.
