Austin Romine and his brother, Andrew Romine, started in the same game for the first time Thursday, with Andrew at shortstop for the Mariners and Austin behind the plate.
“It was cool,’’ Austin said after the Yankees’ 4-3 win at the Stadium. “We’ve been in the big leagues for a while and we’ve never had that chance to play against each other. I’d play, he’d sit. I’d sit, he’d play. This was the first time it all lined up and it was something we’ll remember.
