While the Yankees did not sweep the Rays as we would have liked, they still won a series against a division rival. Now they get the day off before the Oakland Athletics come to town.
There was no walk-off win yesterday afternoon. In fact, there was no win at all. Just sloppy, not good, downright piss-poor baseball by the Yankees. Still the Yankees took the series against the Rays and that definitely counts for something. There are still in sole possession of first place in the AL East, which totally matters on July 6th.
