If you want the players--not the umpires--to be the story of the game, well, Porter might now be one of your least favorite umpires.
The Philadelphia-born Porter had a heated exchanged with ex-Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy during Tuesday evening's Braves-Nationals game at Nationals Park. The root of the issue: Murphy wanted Porter to shift his positioning on the infield to allow for better site lines.
As you can see from the video, Porter wasn't pleased with the request.
