What a display we were treated to last night. It’s hard to see the Yankees topping that offensive outburst, but with Aaron Judge back in the lineup, I wouldn’t put it past them. The Yankees can widen their newly-acquired second-place lead in the division with a win tonight.
Gerrit Cole takes the mound, at it appears he’s starting to find his stride this season. He was basically unhittable last time out, twirling a 2-hit complete game (seven inning) shutout, striking out nine Orioles. It’s interesting the Kyle Higashioka will catch him for the third straight game, this is a development worth keeping an eye on for the rest of the year.
