So the Yankees whiffed. After a month of talk about wanting to add pitching, the MLB trade deadline came and went Wednesday without Brian Cashman making a deal for an arm. The high cost in cash or prospects, the medical risks, the no-trade clauses or just the simple fact that teams were not serious about making a deal led the Yankee GM to stand pat.
Now what?
Cashman said Wednesday the Yankees are confident in the players they have either on the roster or returning from the injured list.
