Even if the New York Yankees miss out on the 2018 World Series, there will still be pinstripes partaking in a fall classic at Yankee Stadium.
The famed Notre Dame Fighting Irish college football team is teaming up with another classic athletic club, the New York Yankees, to create a special jersey when the former visits Yankee Stadium for their penultimate game of the regular season on November 17 against Syracuse University.
The uniform, which will bear the Yankees’ trademark pinstripes in several aspects, mostly ditches the gold made famous by Notre Dame. That gold is mostly relegated to a gold circle bearing the famous interlocked “ND” on the helmet, and outlining jersey numbers.
