The Yankees have a knack for losing to bad teams in 2018. Frankly, it’s pretty annoying. Yes, they’re a great team. Of course they would lead the league in any other year. Sure, Boston is playing out of their minds and New York can’t control that. They must, however, take care of .500 teams. There’s no excuse not to. In fact, failing to do so time and time again has been the season’s biggest embarrassment.
Tonight, another bad team visits the Bronx. The Tigers come into town with a 53-80 record. If the Yankees want to make up for losing to all those struggling clubs, then they can start by dispatching the Tigers.
