Several New York Yankees walked away with one-year deals before the MLB arbitration deadline on Friday, but Luis Severino was not one of them.
Consequently, the two sides will argue their cases in front of an arbitration panel.
MLB Trade Rumors’ arbitration salary projection model predicts Severino will get around $5.1 million. However, Severino’s agent will probably try to get closer to the $7.25 million record Dallas Keuchel set for first-year arbitration eligible pitchers in 2016.
