The 23-year old out of Bishop Kennedy High School in Jacksonville, Florida racked up a total of 229 total bases thanks to 14 tripes and 25 doubles. He was the best hitter on the entire RailRiders roster by far, leading in every category except doubles (Refsnyder, 28) and home runs (Roller, 14).
The former 10th-round draft pick also became just one of 12 players named to the 2015 International League Postseason All-Star Team, which is another incredible honor in and of itself.
Already this impressive at 23-years old, it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for Ben Gamel.
