The New York Yankees are preparing to face off against the Boston Red Sox in the second game of a three-game series. On Friday evening, the Yankees stole the first game 5-1. Starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery was given the victory while Boston pitcher Ryan Weber was attributed the loss.
However, things weren’t all jolly and well for the Yankees, as they learn Tommy Kahnle would miss the rest of the season with Tommy John surgery. Kahnle, who pitched against the Baltimore Orioles several days ago felt arm tightness in training the next day. This subsequently lead to him getting x-rays, which have since indicated that he is likely headed toward surgery.
