New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman doesn’t rule out Deivi Garcia for 2020 rotation

The New York Yankees‘ 2019 season is over and that means it’s time to look towards the future. And that future could very much include minor-league right-hander Deivi Garcia.

The farm-system pitcher showcased his talents for Single-A Tampa, Double-A Trenton, and Tripe-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre this year. Overall, he posted a record of 5-9 with an ERA of 4.28 and a WHIP of 1.347. Garcia also struck out 165 batters and walked 54. At 20 years old, could Garcia find himself in the Yankees starting rotation next year? It’s not impossible according to general manager Brian Cashman.
