New York Yankees: Gleyber Torres talks about his injury and is already making progress

A few days after he learned that his injury would take between two and three weeks to fully heal, New York Yankees‘ shortstop Gleyber Torres is already on the comeback trail and he said to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com that he was surprised that the MRI showed strains on both his left quadriceps and hamstring.

He suffered the injury while running to first base last week. The good news is that the Yankees’ prized young asset has already started to perform light baseball activities, which bodes well for his chances to beat the established timeline and make a full recovery.
