New York Yankees acquire OF Terrance Gore from the Royals

Moves have been made in the Bronx ahead of the July 31 trade deadline.

On Wednesday, the Kansas City Royals traded outfielder Terrance Gore to the New York Yankees for cash considerations. Gore will now report to Triple-A Scranton/Wikes-Barre.

The Royals designated Gore for assignment last Friday.

Through 37 games for Kansas City this season, Gore hit .275 with just one RBI. It’s the only RBI he’s had in his major league career. In 100-career games in the majors, Gore is batting an average of .224.

Gore additionally had stolen 13 bases for Kansas City this year through 58 plate appearances.
