Mike Ford once again Yankees’ savior with pinch-hit, walk-off homer

Even on a day Aaron Boone rested most of his bullpen and the Yankees fell into a late four-run hole, they found a way to come back and beat the A’s for a second straight day.

After scoring three runs in the bottom of the eighth, the Yankees tied the game on Brett Gardner’s leadoff homer in the ninth and won it when Mike Ford followed with a pinch-hit homer run for a 5-4 victory in The Bronx.
