July 20, 1996: Yankees snap skid, beat Brewers 4-2

The Yankees snapped their frustrating three-game losing streak today thanks in part to Mark Hutton who silenced the Milwaukee bats. The Yankees have been searching for a dependable fifth starter this season, and it appears they’ve found one for the time being.

Hutton allowed two runs and four hits while striking out four over four and two-thirds innings. He was knocked out of the game after Ruben Sierra misplayed a line drive in left field, which lead to two Brewers runs. Hutton came within one out of qualifying for his first win in nearly three years.
