On Thursday afternoon, the Yankees released their roster of former players, coaches, staff members and others who are expected to be in attendance for the franchise’s 71st annual Old Timers’ Day on Sunday, June 25, at Yankee Stadium.
Jorge Posada, who won five World Series championships as a member of the Yankees’ recent “Core Four” group, will make his Old Timers’ Day debut. Former Yankee outfielder Tim Raines, who will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on July 30, will also be recognized at the conclusion of the pregame introductions, according to the press release. Raines will be joined by other Hall of Famers Reggie Jackson, Joe Torre, Whitey Ford, Goose Gossage and Rickey Henderson.
