Gleyber Torres exits game with lower back stiffness

Gleyber Torres was pulled from tonight’s game against the Blue Jays tonight in the top of the fourth in favor of pinch-hitter Rougned Odor. The Yankees announced on Twitter that Torres was suffering from lower back stiffness, and would be evaluated further tomorrow.

The shortstop looked to be in some pain after attempting to turn a double play earlier in the game. It goes without saying that a prolonged absence from Torres would represent another tough blow. Torres entered the game with just a 96 OPS+, but had played much better over the past six weeks or so after a miserable first month.
