Gleyber is youngest Yank to 100 hits since Mick

SEATTLE -- With a two-run home run off James Paxton to give the Yankees an early lead over the Mariners on Friday evening at Safeco Field, Gleyber Torres became the youngest Yankee (21 yrs, 268 days) to reach 100 hits since 20-year-old Mickey Mantle in 1952.

Torres launched his 23rd homer of the season in the second inning on an 87.6-mph cutter for a high, arcing blast into the left-field bullpen.
