Giancarlo Stanton posts heartfelt message to Tyler Skaggs’ loved ones

Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton posted a heartfelt message to his Instagram account consoling the family and teammates of Tyler Skaggs, the 27-year-old starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels who was found dead Monday afternoon.

“RIP Bro, My heart goes out to your family,” wrote Stanton, who grieved the sudden death of his former Miami Marlins teammate Jose Fernandez in 2016.

“My message to the @angels while having no time for yourself to grieve is to hug each other, laugh, cry, lift the ones taking it extra hard up. You’re going to wonder why all of this is happening , is it real, why are u suiting up to play a game that seems irrelevant,” read part of his post, which was accompanied by a photo a the late pitcher donning his Angels uniform.
