We all know the Yankees loaded up on prospects last summer when their fire sale brought in the likes of outfielder Clint Frazier, shortstop Gleyber Torres, and pitchers Justus Sheffield and Dillon Tate.
And now we know for sure that their farm system, which already had been pretty good, now is among the very best in baseball.
ESPN's Keith Law, who is as knowledgeable in this field as anyone, released his annual prospect rankings this week and the Yankees made one of the biggest jumps, soaring from No. 13 in 2016 to second this year.
