Ex-Phillies ace Roy Halladay had morphine in system when plane crashed, report says

The Tampa Times reports former Phillies ace Roy Halladay died from "blunt force trauma with drowning as a contributing factor," according to the autopsy performed after his plane crash in November.

However, the Tampa Times also reports the autopsy showed signs of some powerful medications in Halladay's system at the time of his death.

Halladay's body was found in about six feet of water. His blood-alcohol content level was 0.01, according to the toxicology results in the report released by the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office. His body also had evidence of amphetamine, morphine and a drug typically used to treat insomnia.
