Former Phillies star pitcher Roy Halladay died in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday. He was 40.
CBS Philly first reported on the plane crash. Tampa Bay's CBS affiliate reported that the plane was owned by Halladay. USA Today reported that the plane was registered to Halladay's father.
Halladay, a star with the Phillies from 2010-2013, recently tweeted photos of himself flying.
I keep telling my dad flying the Icon A5 low over the water is like flying a fighter jet!
