Does Yankees history buff Bryce Harper see a future in pinstripes?

Bryce Harper made his first appearance with the Nationals at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, but it wasn’t his first time in The Bronx.

“I was probably about 12 and actually watched [Chien-Ming] Wang pitch against Cleveland,” Harper said of the rainy day he spent at the previous Stadium. “It’s definitely exciting to come back and play in front of Yankee fans.”

He’s not the only one excited. Yankees fans have been dreaming about him playing right field for the home team.

But as for if and when Harper might actually wear pinstripes, Harper was tight-lipped.

More than happy to talk about his history at Yankee Stadium, from going to the building across the street as a fan or taking part in a pre-draft workout in the new Stadium when he was in high school, Harper was tight-lipped about any potential future in The Bronx.
