NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A Los Angeles Dodgers fan took one for the team at Yankee Stadium on Monday night.
The New York Daily News reported Alyssa Gerharter, 25, lost her front tooth when Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig threw a baseball into the stands after the final out of the Dodgers’ 8-2 win over the Yankees when he noticed a contingent of L.A. fans.
“I saw it coming at me and I remember thinking, ‘I don’t have a glove to catch this ball,’” she told the Daily News. “And I think I put my hands up in front of my face.
